Normal iPod outselling iPod Photo
Holiday season is here and Apple is making a fortune out of iPod sales. Reports say that iPod is selling in huge numbers. And the most popular iPod in the market seems to be the 20GB version. 40GB version comes second on the demand charts.
Surprisingly, not many are getting into queues for the recently launched iPod Photo. Apple says the demand is low for the hybrid model. Maybe, people do not find the concept of using the small screen to view their images lucrative enough.
Even the iPod minis are running in shortage in the market! Apple says iPod Mini Blue is one of the most demanded in the direct orders from the customers on their website. Apple had anticipated this huge demand for these specific players and increased their production. Still some of these models are running a waiting period!
They would be hoping something similar happens with their computers!

I had wanted to buy the iPod photo for myeself for christmas. I have the original iPod having pictures on it sounded like a good idea. The screen is too small. I have photos on my palm T3 and they look alot better. Sure I can not store 500 photos on my palm but for photos I think screen means alot. I hope the next rev will fix the problem.

You can use the iPod photo to play slideshows with music on any TV. Screen size is not a problem if a TV is around.

“Lucrative”??? I think you meant “useful” or “beneficial” or “worthwhile” — just about any adjective other than the one you chose.
