AMD Barcelona powered machines on display at Computex
AMD is struggling against the market giants Intel in the microprocessor market. A lot is expected from their upcoming Barcelona processor range for servers but AMD is not revealing much on this front.
AMD and their partners are displaying some server products at the ongoing Computex but none of the parties are telling what is beneath the system.
Some of the computer makers showcasing these products include Supermicro Computer Inc., Tyan Computer Corp. and Uniwide Technologies Inc.
AMD officials had little to say about these products but did mention that they are currently on track of supply the products to the end market in the third quarter of the year.
With Intel dominating the last couple of quarters, AMD needs to have something special in their hands to get back into reckoning.
