World’s second largest personal computer maker Dell is finally modifying their sales mantra to include retail selling as well.
Dell announced that they would now begin selling notebook computers at more than 580 of Sam’s Club outlets for $899 each starting next week.
The company had announced recently that they would be selling their desktop machines at more than 3,000 Wal-Mart stores in North America.
Dell would be selling their Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook computer at the Sam’s Club and they would feature dual-core processors from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. These machines would also come loaded with two gigabytes of memory and 120-gigabyte hard-disk drives. These notebooks would be pre-installed with Microsoft Vista Home Premium operating system.
Wal-Mart added in their own release that they would begin selling Dell E521 Dimension desktops at all its U.S. Stores. These machines would be sold for $698 each and would feature 19-inch flat-panel displays.
