Search engine industry leaders Google continues to make inroads into the Chinese market. The company has now signed a deal with Chinese Internet portal Sina Corp. and the two companies would now work together on searching and advertising.

Sina added in a statement that their search engine service would now include Google’s search technology.

Sina’s chief executive officer Charles Chao added: “This partnership leverages the strong offerings of two Internet powerhouses to provide Internet users in China a better overall experience.”

Google and Sina further said that this collaboration would help advertisers on Sina.com to maximize their brand value.

They are also considering expanding this newly formed partnership to other areas including news and content generation.
