Flickr gets localized versions in seven languages
Yahoo owned photo sharing service Flickr has now launched localized versions of the web service in seven different languages.
These languages are: French, German, Korean, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and traditional Chinese.
Flickr further aims to expand this list by adding support for more languages. The aim is to make the site friendlier to international users by letting them use the service in their own language.
MySpace.com is another major online destination which is continuously working on launching versions of their service in new languages.
More than half the users of Flickr photo sharing service are from outside USA and it makes a lot of sense for the company to localize their portal to suit individual preferences.
The most popular markets for Flickr after USA are: Britain, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Spain, France and Australia.
