Apple iPhone would support YouTube videos
Apple has said in a statement that their upcoming Apple iPhone mobile device would indeed support the videos hosted on the YouTube service.
The Apple iPhone would allow subscribers to wirelessly stream material from the video sharing website which is owned by search engine giant Google.
Apparently, the iPhone lacks the Flash media capabilities as per the market reports. Apple iPhone would run the videos on the YouTube site using the same media technology which is being used by Google to deliver the content on Apple TV device.
Google YouTube has started encoding its videos in a new format to improve quality and save battery life when the videos are watched over portable devices such as the iPhone.
Incidentally, Apple iPhone would become the first portable media player to get access to this new media format on the YouTube web site. Apple said that YouTube would have more than 10,000 videos by the time Apple iPhone ships.
