Creative launches Zen Stone Plus digital music player
Creative has launched their latest digital music player named Zen Stone Plus. This player comes loaded with 2GB of flash storage memory and features a small circular blue display.
This is the enhanced version of the Zen Stone player they launched earlier this year. That player did not feature any on screen display.
Creative added that the Creative Zen Stone Plus also comes with a built-in FM radio, clock and stopwatch as well as a microphone. This means that the owners would be able to use the device as a voice recorder.
The player would work natively on the operating system requiring no additional software. It would retail for US$98 and the owners would be able to add as many as 1000 songs encoded at the lowest sampling rate of 64K.
Market analysts say that since most users prefer to listen to high quality music, a more realistic figure comes to around 500 songs for this player.
Sim Wong Hoo, chairman and CEO of Creative spoke about this player: “With the Zen Stone Plus, we are giving consumers another great choice. They can have 2GB of memory and a vibrant screen that enables them to access their favorite FM radio stations, plus a built-in microphone for voice recording. There’s even a clock/stopwatch and customizable equalizer settings.”
