eBay to advertise again on Google but on a smaller scale

Online retailing giant eBay has announced that they are now going to resume advertising on Google but on a smaller scale than before.

They had stopped advertising on the Google’s search engine sometime back saying that they were experimenting with their marketing strategies.

The company said that they research has shown that they need to spend as much as it did before the ad blackout.

An eBay representative said: “In general, our AdWords spending will be significantly lower than it was before.”

The company added that they diverted the AdWords related funds on their other advertising programs and found out that the results were not much different.

eBay happens to be the largest paid search advertisers in the USA with 802 million sponsored link exposures.
