Ingram Micro would now offer Google Web search appliance
Search engine giant Google has announced that they are now collaborating with Ingram Micro Inc. to distribute their search appliance products.
Ingram Micro is the world’s largest technology wholesaler and they would now sell Google Search Appliance and the Google Mini.
This would further boost the availability of Google’s products in the world of corporate enterprise sales. This is the market where Microsoft dominate with their products and services.
Rodrigo Vaca, channel marketing manager for Google’s Enterprise business said in a statement on this new development: “We want to reach as many markets as possible with greater scale than we can do ourselves.”
Vaca added: “We want to make these products easily available to everyone. The products have reached a maturity stage where that (retail) scenario can happen.”
The company added that their hardware products are initially available to Ingram Micro’s network of technical consulting resellers in the United States. The availability would be further boosted in the months to come.
