Yahoo launching SmartAds to enable personalized advertisements on their service
Internet company Yahoo has said that they are going to soon launch a new marketing clients tool that would enable their advertisers to create more personalized advertisements.
The company is scheduled to launch a new system dubbed SmartAds. This system would allow advertisers to compile ads on the spot based on a Web user’s Internet profile.
Todd Teresi, Yahoo’s senior vice president of display marketplaces added in a statement on SmartAds: “It starts to marry the concept of targeting … with the construction of the ad.”
These new generation of ads would allow advertising agencies to create a template for ads with several variables, then compile those elements on the spot to suit a specific reader.
The company said that the system would be initially rolled out for travel-related clients. First of the advertisers would be the two leading airlines in the US market.
