Apple iPhone to get hacked within a week?

People specializes in hacking mobile phone devices to unlock their features have claimed that it should take less than a week for the Apple iPhone device to get hacked.

Apple has launched the phone exclusively through AT&T and this makes it impossible for customers of rival mobile service providers to use the iPhone.

PC World Magazine quoted one of the hackers as saying: “We believe it will be easy. We are privately aware many of the iPhone engineers came from other handset manufacturers, and we understand their design techniques fairly well. Easy to us means inside one week.”

Apparently, there are already solutions out to activate the iPhone without getting an account with AT&T. Tools have been provided for both Mac OS X and Windows platform users.

Jon Lech Johansen has released his own nifty tool which would allow iPhone owners to activate it without using the iTunes application. The device would then work as a regular iPod and the net would work on it through wi-fi. The mobile phone features are deactivated.
