Baidu.com partnering with Rock Music Group for an online music streaming service
Chinese leading search engine company Baidu.com has announced that they are collaborating with popular Chinese-language record label Rock Music Group.
The two companies would now provide an online music streaming service to the web users.
The deal signed between the two companies would see Rock Music licensing part of its music repertoire to Baidu users for free.
They would be sharing the revenues generated through online advertising on this service. This deal comes after Baidu.com was recently cleared of the charges stating that they were providing links to pirated media files through their search engine service.
China happens to be the second largest internet market after the United States with an estimated 140 million Web users.
