Mahindra Renault to enhance production of Logan
India based automaker Mahindra Renault has announced that they are now enhancing the production of their Logan sedan.
The company has now decided to go for the second shift in a month’s time as they aim to boost the manufacturing capacity of their plant.
Their plant currently produces 90 cars on a single shift basis per day. Nalin Mehta, vice-president, (marketing and sales), Mahindra Renault spoke about these new developments: “However, the exact number of cars to be produced in the second shift will be only known at a later point.”
He added: “We have outperformed our competitors in this category such as Hyundai’s Verna, Ford’s Fiesta, Tata’s Indigo and Maruti’s SX4.”
Mahindra Renault have managed to sell 2,800 units and 2,400 units of Logan in May and June respectively.
The company has also just announced two new variants of the Logan sedan which have been introduced on customer demand.
