RIM CEO Balsillie not worried about the impact from iPhone
Apple has just launched their iPhone mobile phone product in the market and they already seems to have sold close to half a million units in the US market.
However, Research in Motion CEO Balsillie is not worried about this new rival arriving in the market to their Blackberry range of products and services.
He said in a statement that the company is not worried about the Apple iPhone. He said: “I haven’t seen one. It’s possible, I guess. I mean, you watch these things, but you really have to just focus and do your job.”
RIM has a global subscriber base of over 9 million and they are currently adding a million new customers every three months.
Apple should be able to touch the first million mark within this month itself. But they are currently targeting just the US market. Apple iPhone’s European launch is expected to take place sometime later this month.
