NASA’s Dawn spacecraft launch delayed
US space agency NASA has revealed that they have now delayed the launch of their NASA’s Dawn spacecraft.
NASA is scheduled to launch this craft to explore two massive asteroids. The launch is now rescheduled to no earlier than Monday, July 9.
NASA stated in a release that the launch window for Dawn on Monday will be 3:56 pm. to 4:26 pm. EDT.
They would be sending the craft into the space using a Delta 2 rocket. The launch has been delayed due to difficulties with an aircraft that would gather data signals from the rocket during launch.
NASA stated that the craft would first visit Vesta in 2011. It would further meet up with Ceres in 2015.
