Nokia updates its Nokia N800 Internet Tablet with new features
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has now upgraded the Linux-based operating system on its Nokia N800 Internet Tablet device.
With this update, the device now supports Skype VoIP application along with the latest version of the Adobe Flash player.
The firmware has also been upgraded to support up to 16GB of external storage.
The device already supports Wi-Fi for connecting to the Web but featured no GSM/CDMA based calling capabilities. Owners could make online calls using the Google Talk application that came with the package. They would now be able to use Skype to make internet calls to landline and mobile phones.
Nokia has made these updates available as a free download on their website for existing owners of the device.
They would be able to download this patch and update the device by connecting it to the computer.
