Apple could boost iPhone production and launch full screen iPods
Market analysts have already said that Apple is working on developing an iPhone variant based on their iPod nano digital media player.
The latest rumor in town is that the company is considering boosting the iPhone production to meet the impressive demand in the market.
Apple is also rumored to be working on launching a full screen iPod edition to complement the just launched iPhone product.
RBC Dominion Securities analyst Mike Abramsky said in a research note that the company might plan to produce 8 million iPhones in 2007. This means that the company could end up selling 12 to 14 million units by the end of 2008.
Apple has however stated that they are aiming at sales of around 10 million iPhone units by the end of 2008.
Sources claim that the company has already sold close to around a million units. And this is just in the US market.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone in the European market sometime later this year. Asian markets are expected to get the iPhone next year.
