Gartner: European iPhone to support both Edge and Wi-Fi
Gartner Inc. analyst Carolina Milanesi has said in a report that they expect the European version of the Apple iPhone to support both Edge and Wi-Fi.
She added that the phone is expected to be launched by October this year.
She claimed that she got the information about the EDGE capability of the first European iPhone from “people working on the device in Taiwan”.
However, several market analysts have said that Apple is likely to support faster network connections on their European edition Apple iPhone.
But, Apple and AT&T have said that they support the slower networks in the US market as it reaches 270 million people in the U.S., making it the largest network.
European market have a broader reach for faster networks and it would be interesting to see what network Apple supports with their iPhone in this market.
