Ford India launches Ford Fusion Diesel for Rs 6.59 lakh

Ford India has finally launched the much awaited diesel version of their Fusion car in the market.

The car has been priced competitively at Rs. 6.59. The deal is even more lucrative considering the petrol version costs Rs 6.41 lakh (on road Delhi).

Most companies charge a premium for diesel variants of their cars.

Ford India managing director and president Arvind Mathew admitted in a statement: “Our customers were demanding a diesel variant of Fusion. Based on their feedback we are launching the new product.”

Ford India vice-president (marketing, sales and service) Scott McCormack added in a statement that the company is now working on launching a smaller car in India to generate the much needed sales.

Ford Fusion: Now in Diesel!

He said: “We know that we need to be in more segments than we are today if we want be a major player in the Indian market.”

Ford sells their models including the Ikon, Fusion, Fiesta and Endeavour in the Indian market.
