Sony launches Crackle streaming entertainment network
Japanese entertainment industry giant Sony has launched a new streaming entertainment network named Crackle.
Market analysts suggest that the company is hoping to target professional video talents through this new service.
This new service is part of their Sony Pictures Entertainment division and features sharing of music, photos, and videos.
Incidentally, the service was in its previous version known as Grouper.
Sony promises that the service would feature original and engaging entertainment through a mix of undiscovered and popular talent.
It is also likely to host short videos by aspiring film makers. Videos would be available in wide-screen, 16×9 format.
