Handheld Entertainment launches Zvue 260 portable media player

Handheld Entertainment has announced their latest product. This new product is the Zvue 260 portable media player.

The device is video capable and is a budget friendly purchase for the generation which is more used to paying a premium for the Apple iPods.

They are selling their new player through the retailing giant Wal-Mart and it would be sold for just around $98.76.

The Zvue 260 sports a 2.5-inch, 320 by 240 pixel active matrix LCD display. It supports video at up to 30 frames per second in XviD, MPEG 4, and WMV (with DRM) formats.

It also supports MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, and MP audio playback. In addition, it is also compatible with BMP and JPEG image file formats.

The player ships with a 1 GB SD card and the user can replace it with a higher capacity chip at a later stage.

The company said that the player would ship with the HandHeld’s Zapp Media Manager software. It would come with a 90 days limited warranty.
