China now has 162 million internet users

China is likely to soon overtake the USA as the world’s largest internet market with the maximum number of web users.

The Chinese government claims that the country now has as many as 162 million internet users. This figure was recorded at the end of June.

Incidentally, this figure means that the country has added as many web users in the first six months of this year as they had added in the entire last year.

USA currently has the largest number of internet users with a base of around 211 million web audience.

Market analysts believe that China has the potential to overtake USA in the next couple of years.
