SanDisk launches their Ducati range of fast memory cards
SanDisk has now launched their latest range of fast memory cards. They have branded this new range on the popular motorcycle brand Ducati.
SanDisk’s founder Eli Harari spoke about the growing demand in this segment of the market: “What the iPhone is doing is showing the world that a cell phone is really a multimedia device. And multimedia devices need more memory.”
Harari further said: “Demand for consumer electronics, digital images, and mobile phones is growing across the board — in the Middle East, South Africa, and Russia as well as in the Europe the Pacific Rim and the United States.”
He added: “We continue to bring the cost down but the rate is not sustainable. There is no question about it. The market needs to catch up.”
SanDisk is claiming that this latest range of memory cards is the fastest they are making at the moment.
Their Ducati range of products includes a flash memory card with a built-in USB drive to plug directly into computers. The prices range from 125 dollars for a flash drive to 315 dollars for an eight-gigabyte CompactFlash card.
