Toshiba recalling more Sony manufactured Laptop batteries
Japanese consumer electronics maker Toshiba has announced that they are now going to recall more Sony manufactured laptop batteries.
The company said that up to around 5,100 battery packs are defective. However, the recall would be made for around 10,000 batteries.
The two companies however stated that this recall is not connected to the much bigger recall of Sony-made lithium-ion batteries last year.
Toshiba added that this recall would involve 10 different laptop models sold worldwide.
Sony added that the batteries involved in this problem are from the same batch they had made in December 2005.
Both Toshiba and Sony said that the financial damage because of this recall is going to be minimal.
