JVC launches Everio GZ-HD3 hard-disk-based HD camcorder

JVC has announced the launch of their latest product named HD Everio GZ-HD3. This new product from the company is a hard disk-based high definition camcorder.

The company said that the Everio GZ-HD3 works with both PCs and Macs and it would be made available in the retail stores by September this year.

It is likely to cost around $1,300 and features three CCDs. The device records video at 1440×1080 directly to a built-in 60GB hard disk drive.

The user as a result would be able to store from 5 to 7 hours of video.

JVC further said that the camcorder features HDMI and component video output along with USB 2.0 and FireWire connections.

It also comes with an SD card slot along with a 2.8-inch LCD display, mic input and accessory shoe.
