Acer files a lawsuit against Hewlett Packard

Taiwan based tech giant Acer has announced that they have now filed a counterclaim in a U.S. court against the world’s largest maker of personal computers Hewlett Packard.

This new lawsuit has been filed in response to a patent related lawsuit HP filed against Acer sometime back.

Acer confirmed that this lawsuit has been filed in the District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Incidentally, HP had filed their lawsuit against Acer at the same court and they had claimed that Acer was violating their five patents covering technologies that included DVD editing, managing power consumption in portable computers and ways to use multiple microprocessor chips.

HP also later on filed yet another lawsuit against Acer at the International Trade Commission alleging infringement of four of the same patents.

HP produces computers with such massive amounts of INTENDED desgin weaknesses, that they are from the onset; to have a EOL of approximately 2 years. This is no news to ANYONE that has ever worked at HP production and or HP Marketing & Design. Occasionally, a decent machine is produced; albeit in limited runs.

The latest flaws; laptop batteries that WILL BURN HUMAN FLESH! This is so prevailant on MANY model numbers, that a massive recall has begun. Letters en masse have been sent to those that have taken time to register. The worst part; HP KNEW OF THE INHERENT FAILURE PRONE QUALITIES OF THESE PRODUCTS AND STILL RELEASED THEM TO MARKET.

How do I know? I worked there for over 7 years. When the “whistle blower” exposed HP and virtually NOTHING was done – I left.
