Tata and Mahindra said to have submitted initial bids for Jaguar and Land Rover

Market sources are claiming that Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra have indeed submitted “preliminary” bids for Ford Motor Company’s Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

The reports claimed that the two Indian companies submitted their bids which are “nothing more than initial expression of interest”.

Mahindra is rumored to be considering joining private equity players to make the bid for these legendary auto brands.

The Tata group could also partner with private equity players or choose to bid along with their existing business partner Fiat.

The reports further claimed that Ford has already established contact with the bidders and that includes the two Indian automakers.
