Toyota to launch new Corolla next year in India

Japanese automaker Toyota is likely to bring their new updated Corolla model sometime next year in the Indian market.

This car would be introduced in the world markets through a launch in Thailand later this year.

Market sources say that the company’s Indian division believe that the car is now ready for a complete replacement in the Indian market.

The current generation model was launched in India in 2002 and is now likely to be replaced with the brand new edition sometime next year.

Toyota might be required to invest in around Rs. 75-100 crores to start manufacturing the new model.

The company is also likely to settle on plans to launch a new compact car in the Indian market in the coming years pretty soon.

Toyota Corolla competes with Honda Civic and Skoda Octavia in the Indian market.
