Motorola to develop mobile phones with built in Projectors
Mobile phone maker Motorola has announced a deal they have signed with Microvision. Motorola now plans to incorporate their technology in mobile phones to make it possible for people to project pictures and video on a wall or other large surfaces.
Microvision specializes in developing ultra-miniature laser-based projectors. These projectors can be used to provide a “big screen” viewing experience from mobile devices.
Rob Shaddock, chief technology officer for Motorola Mobile Devices business said in a statement on this new development: “Working together with Microvision, we are pursuing ways that projection technology can redefine how mobile consumers view and interact with the media they take with them.”
The two companies are now planning to first integrate the Microvision projector in a functioning mobile device for demonstration purposes.
