VoIP is making it big in American Home
An average American home is taking to new technology like its nothing extra-ordinary. Broadband has been a good example on how soon it became popular in the states. And looking at these trends, many companies are expecting similar demand in the VoIP market. Vonage Inc. and AT&T Corp. are the two major players in this market who want to make internet telephony as popular as normal telephones.
Vonage happens to be the largest player in the market, they recently started marketing, and selling their products in major tech stores and office retain outlets from this year. Even competition in the form of CompUSA and AT&T are following the same path. Their aim is to make the public more aware of the latest technology and get VoIP to the end user.
The fact remains that VoIP has the capabilities to lessen the costs of long distance telephony. And getting store representatives to talk to the clients would help solve any issues people have with this relatively new technology. The technology use internet connectivity instead of telephone lines to send data from one part of the world to another. And cheaper broadband connectivity let user make calls similar in quality at much lower costs.
In fact one of the companies in USA recently started delivering VoIP phones for free for lifetime for a fixed cost.
