AOL acquires behavioral targeted ad company Tacoda
US based internet company AOL has announced that they are now acquiring the behavioral targeted ad company Tacoda.
Online advertising market is booming and several existing players have acquired rival companies in the recent months.
Yahoo also just recently launched their latest advertising service named SmartAds which combines behavioral information with demographic information while displaying online advertising.
Google too just recently acquired DoubleClick for $3.1 billion. Yahoo completed their acquisition of Right Media and Microsoft announced their deal to acquire aQuantive. The WPP Group also announced a similar deal to acquire 24/7 for nearly $650 million.
AOL also had recently acquired other advertising companies including Third Screen Media and AdTech AG along with Lightningcast and Advertising.com.
