Apple iTunes has now sold more than 3 billion songs
Apple has announced the latest milestone achieved by their popular Apple iTunes online media store.
The company revealed that the Apple iTunes store has now sold more than 3 billion songs worldwide.
Apple iTunes managed to reach this milestone in a period of just four years. It has also become one of the largest music retailer in the US market in this period.
The most recent billion songs were sold in a period of just six months. In comparison, it took iTunes around 3 years to sell their first billion songs.
Apple iPod has been the driving force behind the popularity of Apple iTunes. Apple iPhone is likely to boost the popularity even more.
