Hyundai has now exported more than 4 lakh Atos Prime from India

Hyundai might be somewhat struggling in the Indian market with none of their recent products making headlines.

But the company has successfully made India their export base for the international markets.

Hyundai India has stated that they have now shipped 4,00,000 units of its small car Atos prime from its Chennai facility to overseas market.

The same product is offered in the Indian market as Santro. They achieved this feat within eight years of operations in India.

HMIL Managing Director H S Lheem had this to say about their performance: “With India becoming the manufacturing hub for Hyundai small cars, we expect to achieve even greater milestones as the country’s largest exporter in the automobile industry.”

The exports have risen in the recent times as they managed to ship 13,200 units in July. Hyundai India exports their Atos, Getz and Accent models from India to 67 countries.
