Motorola Razr 2 to arrive on all major networks in the US market

Motorola recently announced their Razr replacement named Razr 2. This new mobile phone is now scheduled for launch early next month.

It would be offered by all the major carriers in the US market including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile along with regional carriers including Alltel and US Cellular.

Motorola mobile devices spokesperson Paul Alfieri added in a statement: “We had GSM, CDMA, and HSPDA versions of the Razr 2 all available simultaneously. As a result, we are able to offer it to all the major carriers because we have a product that fits whatever technology they may happen to be running on their networks.”

Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi had this to say on the Razr 2: “It makes 100 percent sense for them to try and reach as many people as they can in one go, rather than try to do it in increments.”

Motorola is struggling in their home market where they are loosing out to rival phone manufacturers. Nokia is gaining grounds while Samsung has overtaken them to become the world’s second largest mobile phone maker.

Apple made the situation more complicated by launching their iPhone mobile device.
