Nokia battery problem in India & People Reacting to It

People using Nokia batteries are much in confusion and crowding in front of the Nokia Offices. The product advisory by Nokia issued for 46 million Nokia BL-5C batteries manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd in the batch released during December 2005 to November 2006 gives the warning that the model 6620, 3120, 6682, 2610, 6085, 6030 and 6670 can get overheated on charging and result in short circuit.

According to Nokia company the battery should be looked for the identification number .A battery will have a Nokia and BL -5C printed on it and reverse of it you can get the 26-character battery identification number. The users can either make a call to the company or visit the website of the company to get the information related to their mobile numbers. The number of your mobile if comes under the defective batch list on the website of Nokia; it can be replaced with a new battery provided by the company free of cost.

The users of the mobile are much in panic after getting such information relating to the battery of the mobile. It is said in many conditions your battery be it of any mobile set or any company, there are many conditions when your mobile battery can get short circuited resulting in a burst:

* When you keep your mobile near fire

* Keeping your mobile in extreme change of temperature

* Using the mobile on charging

After the announcement the customers are crowding around the Nokia offices to get a replacement. Many are confused over the Made in China or Made in Japan difference. According to Nokia sources that makes no difference in batteries. The company may provide guidelines to its service centers or shops to keep up with the latest changes to be able to cope up with the demand of customers.
According to the company sources, the company had to take action after getting more than hundreds of cases of battery problems. There are many electronics devices whose battery can burst on overheating and Nokia has taken step to get the problem solved.

The consumers need to be careful while charging the battery and not use the battery on charging. Otherwise the battery is not said to be creating problem .Consumers need to keep patience until their battery gets replaced that is possible on website or by making a phone call from home and not going to the Nokia centre.

    I found my battery has been recalled from the Nokia verification system, so applied it online.

    Its been more than 6 months and have not received it yet :(

    I think they, don’t seem to be commited.

    i would like to change my nokia battery no is 06770400417535m42d10268279 MADE IN CHINA. SO PLS PROVIDE THE PROPER CHARGE TO BUY NEW AND FRESH BATTERY.
