Skype back online as per company sources
Skype has now announced that their services are finally back online completely. The company said that all users could now again log on to their servers to make online telephone calls.
This means that the problems with their servers lasted for more than 48 hours for some users.
Company representative Villu Arak said in a statement: “The sign-on problems have been resolved.. Skype presence and chat may still take a few more hours to be fully operational.”
eBay has already stated that the downtime was not because of any hacking attempt as rumored in the media.
Arak added: “No… attack was related to the current sign-on issues in any way.”
Corporate customers of Skype services have said that they are now reconsidering their plans to rely upon the Skype services for mission critical purposes.
