YouTube to offer in-video advertising
Google is finally looking at ways to improve revenue generation from their video sharing web service YouTube.
The world’s most popular video sharing destination is now set to launch a new way to advertise on videos.
The company is also hoping that this mode of advertising would not annoy their loyal members.
YouTube said that the ads would appear as an overlay on the bottom 20 percent of the video. Viewers would have the option to check out the advertisement.
They are going to work with potential advertising partners and promised that the revenues from the ads would be shared with the content owners.
YouTube added in a blog post on this new development: “If you choose not to click on the overlay, it will simply disappear, so that you’re in full control of your YouTube experience.”
