India: Nokia’s second largest market after China
Nokia might be facing battery recall problem worldwide but they remain the world’s largest mobile phone maker ahead of Samsung and Motorola.
The company has now revealed that India has now become their second largest market after China.
India overtook the USA market to become the second biggest market for Nokia.
India’s mobile phone market continues to grow at a rapid pace as mobile communication rates are perhaps the cheapest in the world here.
The market saw addition of 7.3 million cell-phone subscribers in June as per the data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
The company already has a manufacturing facility at its Telecom Park in Sriperumbudur, Chennai which has helped them boost their market here.
