Toyota might launch their upcoming small car in India first
Japanese car maker Toyota has announced that they plan to launch a new small car in the next two years.
The good thing is that the company might pick India to get the first production facility.
Toyota chairman Fujio Cho said in a statement on the sidelines of an Indo-Japan business conference: “We are thinking of several countries but maybe first production (unit will be) here.”
Toyota happens to be one of the leading automakers in the world but has a pretty small presence in India.
Brazil is another market which could pose a challenge to India to get the Toyota’s nod for the manufacturing base for this upcoming small car.
Toyota would have to expand their manufacturing capacity in India in case they decide to manufacture here.
