Limelight Networks collaborating with Microsoft
Limelight Networks has announced that they are collaborating with the software giant Microsoft. The two companies are now going to work together.
Limelight would now be helping Microsoft in improving the reliability of their online services.
These would involve Microsoft’s services related to video, music and games.
Limelight added that they would now be providing Microsoft media streaming and content delivery services.
The two companies are also going to cross-license their technologies.
This is a major deal for Limelight which competes with Akamai Technologies in this segment of the market.
They are also providing services to other major companies including DreamWorks, Facebook and MySpace.
