Maruti Swift Sedan coming next year?
India’s largest car maker Maruti is expected to launch a new sedan model based on their successful Swift car early next year.
This car is expected to fill in the space which is currently occupied by Esteem which is no longer selling in good numbers.
Market sources claim that the company would launch the Swift based sedan with its new-generation 1.3-liter multi–jet diesel engine and in a 1.3-liter petrol variant.
It is expected to cost around Rs. 5.5 Lakh for the base petrol model. Incidentally, the Swift Diesel hatchback costs around the same for the top end model.
Maruti has officially declined to comment on these reports.
Possible Swift Sedan?
Maruti recently launched the SX4 sedan which is competing with Honda City in the premium sedan segment. They need something to compete against cheaper Sedans in the market including the recently launched Renault Logan and Tata Indigo.

Wow! I was planning to go for Logan. Now its worth waiting another 2-3 months for Swift Sedan diesel. If it is the same looks as per given pic, It’s for me.

Awsome Car!! Undoubtedly this car is going to capture the market for its perfect looks and good price tag..I was about to buy Indigo or Logan but now i m going to wait for SWIFT SEDAN..

since my childhood, i have been travelling on maruti only. maruti means trust, quality and true value for money.i am going to buy my first car of my life and thats going to be sedan only! now no confusion at all……………..

Hi all………..
What is this? Why these people are doing like this? This is a worst and ugly design by the Team Maruti Suzuki (MS). I never see this typw of vechile. The back is looks like front. I am requesting MS team to please lanuch this vechile..because it will effect MS image down. Because now Swift is succssfully selling…. Pls Pls..Redesign the back part of Dzire..PlsPls
