Pocket Playstation might rock your world in 2005
Year 2004 would probably be known as the year, which belonged to iPod and iTunes. They completely smashed the competition and ruled their own domains comfortably. However, Sony plans to book their place for the year 2005. Their new offering in the form of portable PlayStation gaming console (PSP) is expected to rule the hearts of the youth next year.
Gaming experts say as the gadget enter the bigger markets like Europe and USA, it would impress the gamers with the quality it has to offer along with the capabilities in the gaming arena. The design is ergonomic and has plenty to offer for a gamer on the move. Sony is planning to release this gadget in UK next march. The official prices are not out but critics say it will not come cheap at around a price of UK Pounds 200.
The device would face tough competition from the cluttered handheld gaming console market. Nintendo is ready with their DS offering, which comes with dual screen one of which is capable of touch screen reading. Experts however believes PSP would win the battle in the end considering it would appeal to technically advanced youth which demands more from everything.
However, Apple fans need not worry. The company is not sitting idle on the success of iPod. Expect even more advanced offerings of iPod with more disk space and maybe new features. Colored screens should become a norm in the coming months. Also in the news is a possible phone from Motorola being developed in collaboration with Apple, which would play songs bought from iTunes.
