AOL can now acquire Tacoda as they get regulatory approval
AOL has been granted the necessary permissions from the US regulatory bodies to go ahead with the acquisition of the online advertising company Tacoda.
The Federal Trade Commission stated in its release that they have looked into the proposed merger and they have no objections to it.
AOL had announced their plans to acquire Tacoda last month as they aim to further boost their revenues from non ISP operations.
Market sources say that the company is paying close to around $275 million for Tacoda.
This is just one of the several acquisitions announced in this segment of the market. Search engine giant Google is acquiring DoubleClick while Microsoft is acquiring aQuantive Inc.
