Pano Logic offering a virtual desktop PC

A Silicon Valley startup Pano Logic has announced their new technology which enables them to offer a virtual desktop PC that uses no software or hardware components.

This device has been named as Pano device and it comes with no CPU, memory, software drivers or OS.

The device connects to a remote server running the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Experts say that this technology is similar to thin-client PCs which are sold by personal computer makers around the world.

The company added that their model approach improves on this concept as it requires no basic processor or local storage device.

Pano Logic added that the Pano device consumes only 5 watts of power and is totally immune to viruses and other software based issues.

Market analyst Jeff Kaplan had this to say on this new technology: “We’re seeing an evolution of the technology; it’s been proven to work. And we’re seeing an evolution in the way of thinking by customers, as they’re willing to try the technology for its benefits in security and cost of management.”
