Hewlett Packard to invest big on promoting online printing service

World’s largest personal computer maker Hewlett Packard is due to announce a $300 million marketing effort on promoting their new Web-based printing services.

This would coincide with launch of new printers and establishment of business alliances.

HP said in a statement that they are going to showcase 12 new consumer inkjet printers and some of these would come loaded with built-in touch screens.

HP is also going to focus on their Print 2.0 strategy which is related to development of online-based printing services as they aim to make it easier for people to order prints online.

The company added that the advertisements for this new campaign will begin this week. They would also be launching their NextDayTV service, which makes current and local television and sports programs available to consumers on DVD shortly after an event is broadcast.
