Volvo S80 and XC90 SUV coming to India next month
Swedish automaker Volvo has confirmed that they would be launching their S80 luxury sedan in the Indian market next month.
The car would be priced starting at Rs 38 lakh onwards. The company also confirmed the plans to launch XC90 SUV in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 45 lakh.
Volvo added in its statement that both these vehicles would be available in petrol (3.2 liter and 4.4 liter) and diesel variants (2.5 liter).
These would be available on sale through the company’s dealerships in Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai.
These cars would be sold in the market through completely built units (CBUs) route. Volvo is getting them imported from the Volvo Sweden plant.
Incidentally, the diesel models of these two models would be a bit cheaper than the petrol versions. This is quite different from the existing products in the market where automakers usually charge a premium for diesel engine powered cars.
