iCar: Apple in talks with Volkswagen
Apple seems to be in talks with the German automaker Volkswagen and the two parties are discussing the possibility of creating an “iCar”.
This car could feature technologies from both the companies including the legendary iPod digital media player.
Hans-Gerd Bode, a spokesman for VW confirmed that Apple CEO Steve Jobs has met Volkswagen’s chief Martin Winterkorn on this project and they are planning to discuss the project in the future as well.
He added that they came up with a bunch of ideas but nothing is decided yet.
Market experts believe that Apple’s involvement in an automobile project could result in a car which would be of high interest to todays youth.
However, they would have to come up with an attractive package at affordable prices.
