Honda City to get an overhaul next month
Honda Siel Cars India has announced that they are all set to launch an updated edition of their City sedan next month.
The company mentioned that this updated variant of City would feature a host of safety features.
Honda is facing intense competition in the market with recent models taking away its No. 1 position in the mid-size car segment.
Maruti launched their SX4 sedan and Mahindra launched the Logan in partnership with Renault.
The newly updated Honda City would come with air bags and anti-lock brake system. It would also be somewhat priced cheaper compared to existing City ZX VTEC.
Market experts believe that this is going to be the last overhaul City would receive before being totally replaced with an entire new model sometime next year.
Market is going to become much more complicated with several new models planned. Fiat is expected to launch their Linea, Tata could replace their Indigo with the Elegante. Mitsubishi is likely to bring in their new Lancer. Ford would be updating their Fiesta sedan and Skoda is also planning to introduce their Fabia sedan next year.
