Hewlett-Packard MediaSmart Home Server launch delayed
World’s largest personal computer maker Hewlett Packard has said that they are now delaying the launch of their MediaSmart Home Server product.
Looks like they are not happy with the Microsoft’s decision to update Windows Home Server just two months after it was released to manufacturers.
Microsoft stated that they released these updates to improve the product in several ways.
HP now plans to wait till a stable and improved version of the software is made available in the market by the company.
The HP MediaSmart Home Server was originally planned for a launch in late September or early October.
HP spokesman Doug Heckman added: “I don’t think anyone is considering this a setback. The whole point is we’re waiting for enhancements from Microsoft.”
They are however still planning to get the product out in the market before the all important upcoming holiday season.
