Royal Enfield too working on technology similar to Bajaj’s DTSi

Chennai based motorcycle maker Royal Enfield has said in a release that they are working on technology similar to the Bajaj’s DTSi.

Incidentally, the same technology has become a point of conflict between Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors.

TVS recently launched a new bike which uses a technology similar to DTSi and Bajaj is claiming that they are infringing on their patents.

Royal Enfield said in a statement that they are developing an integrated engine and gear box unit and it would be based on this controversial twin-spark technology.

Market sources claim that the company has developed a new twin spark engine for its 350cc engine that will power the new Thunderbird model.

This model is expected to be launched in the market before the end of the year.
